I found the 1st 2 episodes alright, nothing really spectacular. It seems entertaining and funny enough. However, the animation art and music are only average. So far, the characters featured are likable. Overall, I feel that this Anime series is worth to continue watching.
Episode 1It all begins with a young boy meeting a tree spirit
(the gal with blue hair). She touches his forehead and then she disappears almost immediately after. The series then moves several years into the future.
The boy grows up and builds a statute, using wood from a sacred tree
(chopped down).Left: Suddenly, the statute transforms into a girl..
(seems like old plot.. =x)Right: The boy is shocked and tries to touch to see if the girl is for real..
The girl introduces herself as a tree spirit and then makes the boy buy the Wand for her
(after seeing it on TV). After that, she uses the Wand to kill off the impurities in the world (magic girl style).. with a little help from the boy. After he helps her banish the impurities, she thanks him and tells him to call her Nagi. She also asks what his name is and he tells her that his name is Jin.
Episode 2This episode begins with Nagi telling Jin that she has broken her Wand while she's in the half-asleep mode. She demands a new one, as she is a God as she needs it to remove the impurities. And of course, Jin rejects her demand and gives her super glue instead to fix it..
(I think it's easy to guess what happens next)..Nagi then finds some kittens outside the house. She finds them ultra kawaii
(cute) and she starts crying uncontrollably...
(haha.. she looks cute too) She bugs Jin to adopt the kittens but he again rejects her because their rented house does not allow pets.
Jin returns home from shopping and was shocked to see the Wand stuck on the table..
LOLHe then gives Nagi the angry look. Nagi tries to justify by saying she has split personality and it's her other personality who is responsible for that..
(Of course, Jin does not believe her) Jin's childhood friend, Tsugumi visits Jin and is surprised to find a girl living in with himNagi tries to explain to Tsugumi her relationship with Gin by saying that she's Jin's half-sister. She also mentions that she has split personality
(and Tsugumi actually believes.. =/)Here, Nagi is playing with some kids and she finds an impurity
(in the shape of a frog) on one of the kids' back. She decides to exorcise it on her own with the Wand
(Jin has fixed it for her)The 'frog' escapes and possesses a ball. Without the help of Jin, Nagi finds it difficult to exorcise the impurity. She lures the 'frog' into a tunnel but finds herself in trouble instead.
Jin appears out of nowhere and saves Nagi. As Nagi is injured by the 'frog', Jin carries her home..
