I am someone who hates Horror movies and dramas! I do not see why I should torture myself by getting myself freaked out. That's why, I used to avoid anime with Supernatural themes. However, after watching
Natsume Yuujinchou, I went around searching for anime with similar themes. A few days ago, I stumbled upon
Tactics and I enjoy it.
Tactics is sometimes funny, sometimes creepy and sometimes touching.
Despite its episodic nature, this series carries one mystery that extends itself thoughout the series. This series also has a few surprises now and then, and a few episodes are a little creepy. Kudos to the mangata for coming up with that kind of plot. All in all, this is one anime I will recommend to all who enjoy Supernatural anime. This is also one of those anime with a pretty good ending. It has a very touching and funny last episode. I was crying and laughing uncontrollably.Need another reason to watch

PlotKantarou Ichinomiya is a young man who has the ability to see youkai since young. When he was a child, he did not have many friends because of this ability. One day, some youkai told him that in order to be stronger, he must find the oni-eating Tengu
(ogre-eating Goblin) . The young Kantarou then vowed to find it and name it. By naming, he will become the master and the contract is only broken when he decides to. When Kantarou grows up, he works as a full-time folklorist and a part-time exorcist.The story begins when an exorcism assignment leads Kantarou to a mountain where the Tengu has been sealed. By calling upon Haruka's name, Kantarou breaks the seal and finally realizes his childhood dream. Haruka is a handsome young man with black wings. Kantarou and Haruka, together with Kantarou's kitsune
(fox) named Youko and a little girl named Suzu, go through many adventures and gradually grow closer to one another.
Art/AnimationTactics has fairly good animation and art. It has some nice special effects. I especially like the the way they animate the parts when Kantarou is chanting.
CharactersIn each episode, you'll see different youkai. Some are evil and some are just playful.You can find a good mix of characters - cheerful ones, quiet ones, paranoid ones and even a strangely cute 'mascot'. I'm sure you can find at least one you like!

Haruka (Looks! and Loyal towards Kantarou),
Muu-chan (simply too Cute) and
Kantarou (Funny and very Caring towards his youkai).
