Actually, I watched the 1st episode of
Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou before I watched the 13 episodes of
Natsume Yuujinchou. I really like the 1st episode. It's funny, touching and heartwarming. After watching it, I immediately searched for its 1st Season and watched it too!
(-_o)Opening and Ending ThemesI enjoy both the Opening and Ending Themes.The Opening Theme is called 'Ano hi Time Machine' by Long Shot Party.I especially like the Ending Theme which is sung by Kourin. 'Aishiteru' is a slow and soft song. It's very pleasing to the ears. ♥
SummaryThis episode continues the format of the 1st Season. The youkai featured in this episode is called Riou, the Lord of a forest. He rules over all the youkai in the forest. Unlike other youkai, he loves and favors humans. He used to disguise as a human and go down to the village. Once, he was caught by a fox trap and was saved by a hunter. That hunter became his first human friend. However, after that, he was defeated by Reiko, Natsume's grandmother and then sealed by another unknown person.In this episode, we see how Natsume goes about helping Riou.

Natsume finds the black cat and gives chase. He manages to catch the cat. He then finds out that the cat is actually the Lord of the forest. He was sealed by humans some time ago.Earlier on, Natsume broke a barrier and that barrier actually belongs to the seal. Though the barrier is broken, he has not enough power to break free from the seal as his name was taken by Reiko.
Natsume decides to return his name. However, the problem is he doesn't know the name and the black cat can't speak.The other youkai suddenly appear and attack Natsume. In the midst of the commotion, Natsume hears the Lord's name. He's called Riou.Natsume immediately returns Riou's name to Riou.
Memories of Riou flood Natsume's mind.
The true form of Riou.He thanks Natsume for returning his name, breaking his seal and also for stopping the youkai from attacking humans. (Riou stole the 'Book of Friends' to lure Natsume to the gathering so that he can stop the attack.)
