Sengoku BASARA - Let's Party!

Sengoku BASARA is adapted from a game and its characters are based on famous Japanese historical personalities. It's a short series with only 12 episodes + 1 OVA. Given its short length, there's nothing really great about its plot. To be frank, the only reason why I watched Sengoku BASARA is Date Masamune! ♥ Sengoku BASARA has many cool characters and has quite a big fan base (mainly girls... I guess ^^). Given the success of the first season, a second season had been announced and will start in July 2010 .
"Are you ready guys? Put your guns on!! Yeah!!~~"Date Masamune
Story: (6/10) – FairSengoku BASARA is about how the main characters combine forces to defeat the bad guy - Oda Nobunaga. The story is very simple and predictable. Though the story is little boring, the many exciting battles in the series more than make up for it.Characters: (9/10) – Very GoodHot guys!!!~~ Here are the characters I like:Date Masamune - He's one of the manliest characters I've seen!!~~ Everything about him.. his looks.. his fighting style.. are just too cool!! I also love it when he randomly speaks English! ^^
Sanada Yukimura - He's a sweetie. His passion and loyalty for his 'Oyakata-sama' is very cute!
Art/Animation: (8/10) GoodThe art and animation are pretty well done, but the animation quality is a little inconsistent at times. The special fighting effects are well-animated and they make the battles interesting and exciting to watch. Music: (8/10) – GoodThe opening theme 'JAP' by abingdon boys school and the ending theme 'Break & Peace' by Dustz are pretty cool and suit the theme of the series well. Enjoyment: (9/10) Very Good I'm fangirling over Date Masamune throughout the series!~ Overall: (8/10) GoodSome people will like it because of its action and cool guys, and some will not like it because of the weak story. I obviously belong to the first group. If you are like me, do give Sengoku BASARA a try.Bookmark and Share
