Asura Cryin' Episode 1

I was expecting an ordinary slice of life anime about a guy who falls in love with a ghost. I was definitely not expecting a weird briefcase, fighting and Mecha! I also thought that Asura may be the name of the female ghost. Well... my guess was way off. Asura is actually the name of a Mecha!Overall, this is a decent introduction episode. I think all of the important characters have been introduced. They seem to have an interesting and intriguing past. The art/animation is average. Nothing fantastic. This episode did surprise me a little and I hope it will stay this way until the end.Opening and Ending ThemesThe music is average. The Opening theme is called 'Spiral' and it's by Angela. It's not exactly my cup of tea as it has a techno feel to it. The Ending theme is 'Link' and it's also performed by Angela.Mini SummaryThree years ago, Tomoharu got involved in a plane crash and was seriously injured. In the hospital, he met Misao, a female ghost, who promised to be there for him. Three years later, his mother remarries and he's forced to live alone. On his first day in his new house, a mysterious girl called Shuri gives him a silver briefcase and says that it's from his brother who is overseas. After that, strange people start attacking Tomoharu and ask him for something called 'Asura Machina' and 'Extractor'. Realizing that 'Asura Machina' and 'Extractor' refer to the silver briefcase, Tomoharu decides to let it go.
